Dr ben pilgrim
Ben Pilgrim learnt to row in St John's College, Oxford in 2005. In his eight years there he was part of one the most most successful periods in the Club's history. He was a member of the Men's 1st VIII that won back to back blades in 2010 and 2011 and also helped take the 1st Torpid to 6th on the River, the Club's highest position for 50 years. Ben greatly expanded the Club's Alumni Society and used the stability provided by the extra income to get the Club a new launch and training base for both the Men's and Women's 1st VIIIs at Abingdon, both crucial in allowing the Women's 1st VIII to achieve the Club's first ever Summer Eights Headship in 2013. Ben started coaching novices at St John's in 2006 and brings experience of nearly 100 Bumps races to CCCBC. He has been at Corpus since 2013.
